Sara Horowitz, who is the founder of a freelancing group called Freelancers Union, wrote an excellent piece about the telecommute/freelance/independent work economy in The Atlantic. The article talks about how telework and independent work is changing the way our economy functions, and how the established systems haven’t yet adapted to the emerging norm.
